Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems, and supporting the IT needs of our cybersecurity operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the company’s digital assets.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and clients.
- Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery drills.
- Manage software and hardware installations, upgrades, and configurations.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Stay updated with the latest IT and cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, System Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools like SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
